NC Portrait Photography - Drew and Natalie

I
knew that this engagement session would be fun. It had all the ingredients to make it so ... a beautiful couple, a beautiful day and some great locations. Natalie and Drew chose to do their session at Natalie's grandparent's farm. We were a little concerned about the weather but the rain gave way and left us with some interesting skies. We spent about three hours on the farm and at a coupe of other locations in the neighborhood.

Natalie and Drew are a wonderful couple to work with and I am so happy that they chose to share, with Autumn Song, this amazing chapter of their lives!

NC Portrait Photography - Nathan

O
ne of the great things about being a photographer is all of the interesting people I get to meet. I received a call from Charlie Jones, a music minister and friend from Rich Fork Baptist Church. He told me he had been working with an outstanding young man for about five years giving him piano lessons. Charlie said that Nathan was very talented and was even composing his own music. He is in the process of making a cd and needed photos for the cover and a book of music he has written. It was fun getting to know Nathan and I can say this ... he's about as well rounded as any young man that I've ever met. Not only is he an outstanding musician, he loves sports, especially basketball. He has been working out with weights for many years, and last but not least, he's very academically gifted.

Upon graduating from High Point University he hopes to work in finance. Hey, he was picked to ring the bell on Wall Street, how about that! Finally, one of the most amazing things about him is, with all his talent, I had to get most of the information about Nathan from Charlie ... Nathan has too much humility to talk about himself!

Nathan, Karen and I wish you much success and happiness and thanks for the opportunity to get to know you.

NC Family Photography - "Fall at the Farm"

A
s many of you know, October is "Family Portrait Month" here at Autumn Song. We chose "Fall At The Farm" as our theme and things have really been rockin' ... so much so that I have fallen behind posting some of the sessions. I promise I will eventually get to them! There are many good things that go along with having a portrait month. The most important is the opportunity that we have to give a portion of the proceeds from each session to such a worthy cause as Operation Smile.

It just wouldn't be proper if I didn't pause and say a great big "THANK YOU" to everyone that's booked a session and thereby partnered with us in support of this wonderful organization! If you haven't had a chance to book a session with us and would like to do so, there is still time! Because of the demand we have extended our "Fall at the Farm" through mid November.

Now ... please allow me to introduce you to the Gray's. A beautiful family featuring two lovely little girls, Charlotte and Beatrice.

NC Photography - The "Boys"

G
rowing up in a neighborhood full of boys, it was a natural thing to be involved with sports. For most of my childhood and early adulthood I thought if you couldn't hit it, kick it, or throw it, it just wasn't good for anything. You would think growing up like that I would enjoy watching sports on television ... I don't! I would rather be doing anything else than watching a game on the tube. What I do enjoy is watching kids play. I love to watch them laugh and I love watching how their little faces light up with joy when they get the approval of their coach. It's the purest form of athletics ... play ... just for fun. Here is a photo of Bradyn's soccer team. They play Saturday mornings at the local Y.M.C.A. You can tell by looking at them, they know how to have fun!

Winston-Salem Portrait Photography - Kelly & Chad

W
e have known Kelly since birth. Her dad and I were childhood friends. Kelly is a genuine people person with an outgoing personality, a friend to everyone. Karen and I were so happy when she contacted us about her wedding plans and are excited about being a part of Kelly and Chad's wedding day. We know Chad has got to be a really special guy for Kelly to fall head over heels about him!

For Kelly and Chad's engagement session, we went to her grandparent's home. It's a place that holds many happy memories for Kelly. As always, it's great to be able to spend time with a couple before their wedding day.

Their wedding is coming up the first of January and I can hardly wait!
