NC Portrait Photography

e've known Megan for many years. Those of you that know her and her family know what special folks they are. Megan recently asked if we would do a portrait session for her and of course, we were delighted! She is a beautiful girl and has a tender heart for God. She shares her faith boldly with those she's around. We count it a blessing to know her and truly enjoyed our session. Karen did Megan's makeup then we braved the cold, traveling to several locations. I shot some B&W film for the session and man do I love film!

Film was my first love in photography. This medium has the power to transform a portrait into an expressive and timeless work of art. Nothing compares to the effect of film grain on a B&W photograph; it captures a richness and subtlety of shading that cannot be achieved digitally. Karen and I are so excited to now offer B&W portraits using all film! The new B&W portrait sessions will be a very unique niche and perfect for those who love heartful, soulful B&W portrait photography. The final print, a beautiful work-of-art portrait ... is like icing on the cake!
