I Like Rainy Days

'm just wondering ... are we out of the drought yet? It's kind of interesting ... we worry about things like global warming and if there will be enough water. Just when we think the earth is going to dry up God opens the skies and it rains, and rains, and then it snows, and the lakes freeze over ... and the cycle continues.
I prefer to live life in the moment, not borrowing too much from yesterday or being overly concerned about tomorrow. When we have rainy days, I get excited. Karen cooks a big pot of soup and as it's cooking, the steam fills the house, making it warm and cozy. The smell of soup and cornbread keep me in the moment.
To make matters all the better, the babies come pouring in. Sometimes Karen and I sit on the couch with the three of them under a big blanket and read. Sometimes we watch kid programs on the tube. If the rain happens to break for a moment and I can come up with a good bribe (like chocolate) the kids will let me try out some new film I'm experimenting with. A new cycle begins.... play and work, play and work. Life is good!
