09.27.11 WeddingsNC Wedding Photography-Allison and Drew |
D ad and I set out Friday morning for our normal weekly long run/father-daughter time/strategy planning session. It rained on us the entire time...and Allison and Drews wedding day monopolized our conversation. The weather man was clear, the rain was sticking around the entire weekend.
Saturday morning came...still more rain. As we made our way to Allisons grandfathers home, where she and Drew would speak their vows OUTSIDE, the rain continued. Shortly after 3pm the clouds broke and the rain left. We checked our phones for the weather--which revealed a storm heading towards us, due to hit at approximately 4:30pm--just as Allison was scheduled to make her way down the aisle. At 4:25 the storm split and went right around us. It was incredible. Allison couldnt have had prettier weather that afternoon. We were rejoicing with her in a rain free ceremony--complete with a rainbow! How incredible that one of the greatest covenants that God made with His people was revealed at a ceremony that celebrated one of man and womans greatest covenants with God. Maybe its just the romantic in me, but I thought it was pretty special. Congratulations Allison and Drew!
