06.28.13Weddings

Kathryn and Joshua

I
t's my pleasure to post some images from Kathryn and Joshua's wedding. It was done in real southern fashion, families pitching in and doing all the necessary things to make for a very special occasion. Joshua's mom did the wedding cake, Kathryn's dad did the coordinating and design. The wedding itself was held at an equestrian farm where Kathryn boards her horses. Following the wedding, the reception took place at Sapona Country Club in Lexington NC. The adventuresome couple will soon be on their way to California where Kathryn will pursue her lifelong passion, to be an equine surgeon. I love you guys and wish for you all the best!

Senior Photography -- Keith

E
ver so often I photograph someone I feel is very special. Keith is one of those people. Keith is a resident at Mills Home in Thomasville, a residential care facility of Baptist Children's Homes of NC. He recently graduated from Thomasville High School. Before coming to live at BCH his life was very difficult. Although things have changed a lot for him, I’m sure there are struggles he still faces today. I believe Keith has met many challenges life has put before him and battled them like a true champion. Keith has a heart for the ministry, for young people in particular. He told me that he wasn’t sure about his future but he believes God will direct his path. One of his favorite bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

06.08.13Bridal Portraits

Kathryn Margaret

T
hese are a few images from Kathryn's bridal session. She and Josh were married on June 1st. I can't wait to share some of their wedding photos with you. You'll notice some extra props in some of the images ... a blanket, a truck, and pets. All of these things have special meaning to Kathryn and she wanted to be certain they were included in the photos. Just like her bridal session, their wedding was sprinkled with bits and pieces of their lives, telling the story of who they are -- a southern lady and a southern gentleman with a strong passion for each other and for life.

Judah at 4 Months

I
can hardly believe that little Judah is already 4 months old. Soon there will be some little teeth appearing, then he will start to crawl, and finally walk and talk. He loves his big sisters and they love him too. It's interesting to watch him as he watches them. He constantly smiles as his eyes follow them across the room. I can't wait to hear him say Papa!
