Greensboro Children's Photography--The Adcocks

S
everal years ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsay and Tim's wedding. I also had the pleasure of photographing Tim and Lindsay's first born AND Lindsay's beautiful baby bump almost a year ago (you can see those HERE). So when Lindsay called and wanted us to do some photos of her sweet little family this year, we were so excited.

We started the day off just right (in my humble, professional and sugar loving opinion) at the The Candy Factory in Lexington and finished up our time at the park. Those two boys had so much fun and we were happy to run along side them for the afternoon. As I rode home from our shoot, I noticed some of the dirt from the park was stuck to my arms--thanks to some left over sucker from earlier. I felt accomplished. I felt like I had really gotten into being a child--if even for a few minutes.

Thanks Lindsay and Tim. Thank you guys for sharing your beautiful family with us for the afternoon...and for reminding us that nothing beats sugar and dirt.

Styled Family Photography Winner: Fab Ms. Lauren

I
met Lauren several months ago at church in downtown Winston Salem. It was immediately obvious to me that she loved the Lord and that she had an amazing heart for little children. She always smiled--ALWAYS. I don't think a Sunday went by that my sweet little 4 year old (Layla) wasn't greeted with a sincere smile from her in the hallway. And to be honest---I always kinda looked forward to how she'd make her Sunday school teacher "uniform" (or costume, as Layla called it) personalized.

SO when I heard she was randomly chosen for our first styled photo shoot with Brooke at Nouvelle Soiree, I was really excited--excited to get to know her and excited about the opportunity to reach in there and pull her personality out a little. Dad and I had a blast photographing her family. They are all so quirky and fun (and I think each is a little rebellious in his/her own way). Its always so much fun when we can use our cameras to highlight the personalities that make a family unique--that make a family special. AND it always helps to have a professional stylist on hand!

So without further ado, please meet Lauren....

And her wonderful family.....

Why?

Because in a room full of people, I saw only him.

Because his eyes captivated me.

Because he wrote the best love letters EVER.

Because he knew how to have a blast on two pennies or less.

Because he made me laugh until my side hurt.

Because his arms felt like home to me.

Because he was a man that I could respect and admire.

Because he made me want to be more like Him.

That's why I married my sweet man 7 years ago--and that's precisely why I'd do it all over again...and again..and again.

I love you Neil William. Happy Anniversary!

Tiny little moments....

W
e are often asked by brides what we love most about photographing weddings. There are a lot of things I love--I love seeing a room full of girls busting at the seams with excitement. I love meeting the grandparents (I've always had a super soft spot for grandparents--especially the sassy ones). I like being able to weave myself into other peoples' lives--if only for a day. BUT my favorite part of a wedding day are those tiny little moments just after the bride and groom have said "I do" and walked down the aisle. I love it when he carries the back of her dress for her, or opens the door...like its his first chivalrous act as a husband. And, there is something incredibly uncensored and honest about those moments--their first few minutes as husband and wife with no one watching. I sometimes wonder what they are thinking as they stand so close, as if they just can't get enough of each other.

I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes...and some of my favorite "tiny little moments". AND make sure to check back later this week to see what my TOP favorite wedding moment is :) One hint--I'm celebrating an anniversary this weekend.

The Babies

T
hank you to everyone that stops me along the way and says they enjoy reading and looking at our blog posts. A special thanks to those that ask about our babies and request more photos of them. Here are a few from our recent beach trip.
