07.17.10 PersonalFamily Vacation |
E very year Karen and I look forward and anticipate our family vacation. This year was no exception ... we were geared up for it at least two months or more before the time finally rolled around!
There were 15 of us down this week staying in the beautiful South Myrtle Beach area close to the Point in Garden City. That area is so family oriented, even in the prime season. We had a great time on the beach, in the pool, at the pier, back at the house chilling out, eating way too much ice cream, playing games ... whatever was happening was good. The runners in our group managed to put their mileage in before the others were up and about in the mornings. Why do vacations seem to pass so much faster than any other time? It seemed as if we had just gotten there and it was time to head back home. Maybe next year we should make it two weeks ... now that's a thought! Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson~ |
