Hijacked

I really hate that I have to do it this way....Ive been waiting and waiting and waiting to be asked to guest write a blog post, but nothing.

Im hijacking this blog (sorry, dad).

I suppose I should introduce myself. Im Lindsey, Rods daughter, running buddy and second shooter/creative mastermind (I added that last part--hope thats okay dad) with a tendency to embelish. Dad has been meaning to introduce me to you all--even said hed do this amazing post. But I was getting tired of waiting (Im a second child--we struggle with this, okay?). So I searched the office (again, sorry dad) and found the password to the blog. YATZEE! Ive been waiting for weeks to find the right subject matter to make my big debut. And yesterday--I found my material in a BIG way!

Let me start by saying this...one of the most endearing qualities about dad is that he is really a kid at heart. He loves to play--loves to laugh--and rarely takes himself too seriously. I love that about him.

SO yesterday, I noticed that it was awful quiet in the office. I assumed that because I was deep in thought about my next act of creative genius, I probably couldnt hear dad working tirelessly at his computer. All of the sudden--just as I was on the cusp of something amazing (I promise)--I was awakened--er--disrupted--by the sound of laughter. I looked out the office window to find Bradyn, Layla and dad laughing hysterically. I grabbed the camera--determined to catch dad in action. And catch him I did--enjoying a beautiful fall day, while I (ehem) was working--or reading people.com--but whats the difference, right?

Seriously...dad? Arent you a little too big for this...AND we have a race coming up...AND a business to run. Just sayin...
