06.11.11Engagements Uwharrie Point Engagement Shoot-Julie and Justin

The Old North State Club at Uwharrie Pointe has a special place in my heart. Maybe its because that's where my sweet husband and I said "I do"...or maybe its because I was laying on a dock by the shore when I felt Layla's tiny feet kick my tummy for the first time...or maybe its because it is one of the most beautiful places in North Carolina. Or maybe its just a little bit of each. Whatever it is, Uwharrie Pointe is one of my favorite spots on earth. So you can imagine when Julie told us that she and Justin first met at Badin Lake and wanted to do their engagement session at Uwharrie Pointe, I was beyond excited. As the threat of thunderstorms loomed, the sky lit up with some of the most beautiful evening light that I've seen in a while. Julie and Justin had so much fun together. Its always refreshing to photograph lovers in love.... So tell us...do you have a favorite spot--does it come with a love story? Entertain us, I'm a sucker for a sweet love story :) Lindsey

04.29.11Engagements NC Engagement Session ~ Alix, Chad ... and Sooky

F inally, the weather cooperated and, after a couple of rained out sessions, we had a gorgeous day for outdoor photography. Alix and Chad are a delightful couple who love each other, love the outdoors, and love animals... in fact Chad is studying to become a veterinarian. We spent the afternoon on a beautiful horse farm making photos of the two of them and their happy little friend "Sooky"

E ngagement sessions provide such a wonderful opportunity for a couple and their photographer to get to know each other. I had a great time with Katherine and Nick on a beautiful fall afternoon, just hanging-out and listening to their story.

O ctober has always been my favorite time for outdoor photography. Lower temperatures and humidity are nice but the quality of light is simply amazing. What a pleasure it was to share the beauty of an October afternoon with Brandon and Jessica. Thanks for a great day!

07.28.10Engagements Tim and Amber

I thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon with Tim and Amber. Even though the temperature was soaring into the mid 90's, we were still able to keep our cool and come away with some great shots. See you guys in a couple of weeks!
